"Levitate" performs all original music composed by the band members. The band features an eclectic combination of organic, acoustic finger-style guitar melded with electronic synth guitar, upright bass, and electric violin.

"Levitate" is led by guitarist/composer Jorge Faustmann. Jorge is a self-taught guitarist who has produced 6 albums and has composed over 70 original songs. His music is influenced by flamenco guitarists from his Spanish heritage as well as many great jazz, bossa nova and rock musicians.

Also on guitar is Fred Malouf, who is a Berklee College of Music graduate and has been playing guitar for over 30 years. He has performed in diverse musical settings with improvisation being the central component.

Rounding out the group is Marty Honda on upright bass and electric violin. Marty's bass and violin bring to the group his wide range of musical influences from numerous jazz artists as well as late 60's rock groups and classical composers.

In addition, on some performances Levitate is joined by Carlos Madrigal on hand percussion. Born in northern Mexico, Carlos has taught himself Cuban rhythms on the bongos and he later picked up the cajón. Carlos has played in many groups here in the US and in his native Mexico ranging from pop to flamenco, bossa-nova to jazz and a little bit of rock.
